The last week of November 2021 we opened the doors to Stories of Carers (Unpaid) at The Vestibules in Bristol. We welcomed the carers who took part, their families, local and national politicians, the organisations we worked with, the media and people who just happened to pass by. The response was heart warming and here are a few of the comments:
"I had no idea about this showroom, but since I read the first story of all those brave families, it made me remember my family. Full of carers that are always there to give a hand. Rally touching exhibition that almost made me cry! Thanks for creating this space."
"A wonderful + touching exhibition with exceptional photography. All captures the need for support by society for all of these exceptional individuals - Thank you."
"Was a pleasure to take part and also read others powerful stories. Thank you for raising awareness for families just like ours." Carla Golledge.
"These are the stories everyone needs to hear and the pictures everyone needs to see. Thank you for putting this together - it made me feel hopeful about people"
"I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your exhibition. I found the stories extremely moving, and the photographs allowed us to see in the carers' lives with just the right degree of intimacy: deeply personal, but not in the least intrusive. The exhibition conveyed so well how extraordinary these people are, and also how ordinary." Ruth
"Wow! What an amazing army, it is wonderful to be behind the scenes, thank you, it is very thought provoking and emotive."
